The Zeiss LD Plan-Neofluar 63×/0.75 Long Working Distance Objective (M27) is a specialized long working distance dry objective delivering an exceptional 2.2mm working distance at 63× magnification — designed for fluorescence and brightfield imaging of living cells in thick vessels, multi-well plates, Petri dishes, and other specimens where standard short-working-distance objectives cannot reach. M27 thread for Zeiss Axio series microscopes. Offered here in excellent condition with flawless optics at significant savings versus the new list price.

KEY FEATURES

  • Long working distance: 2.2mm — exceptional clearance at 63× for imaging through thick plastic vessels, multi-well plates, Petri dishes, and imaging chambers where standard objectives cannot reach the specimen
  • Plan-Neofluar optical design — fluorite glass elements providing excellent chromatic correction and high fluorescence transmission for multi-channel fluorescence and brightfield imaging
  • NA 0.75 dry objective — practical numerical aperture for long working distance imaging, balancing resolution with the extended working clearance needed for thick vessel imaging
  • M27 thread mount — current Zeiss standard, compatible with Zeiss Axio series microscopes including Axiovert, Axio Observer, Axio Imager, and Axio Examiner
  • 🇩🇪 Zeiss quality, made in Germany — precision optical construction for consistent, high-efficiency light transmission and long service life
  • Condition: Excellent — flawless optics — catalog number 421380

Product Overview

The Zeiss LD Plan-Neofluar 63×/0.75 M27 is a long working distance objective engineered for cell biology workflows where specimens are imaged through thick plastic substrates — multi-well plates, Petri dishes, T-flasks, and imaging chambers — that standard short-working-distance objectives cannot accommodate. The 2.2mm working distance provides ample clearance for the full range of standard tissue culture vessels, enabling high-magnification fluorescence and brightfield imaging of living cells in standard culture conditions without the need to transfer cells to specialized coverslip-bottom dishes. This is the standard (non-phase-contrast) version of the LD Plan-Neofluar 63× — catalog number 421380 — suitable for fluorescence, DIC, and brightfield imaging workflows that do not require phase contrast. The Plan-Neofluar fluorite design provides excellent chromatic correction and high fluorescence transmission for multi-channel imaging across the visible spectrum. The M27 thread mount is the current Zeiss standard, compatible with Zeiss Axiovert, Axio Observer, Axio Imager, and Axio Examiner microscopes. This unit is offered in excellent condition with flawless optics at a significant discount to the new list price of $6,750. Catalog number 421380.
