Unlike flexible fiber bundles that sag or shift during use, the dekabon construction holds its shape after positioning — giving you repeatable, stable illumination exactly where you need it without constant readjustment.

The 5mm distal output ferrule is compatible with Schott's standard spot lens accessories, including polarizing caps, making it straightforward to adapt the illumination angle and quality for different specimen types. With a 10mm active input fiber diameter and 12mm gooseneck tubing, this guide efficiently couples light from the source and delivers it with minimal loss to the target area.

Positioning a single gooseneck at an oblique angle produces directional, raking illumination that enhances surface texture and topographic contrast — ideal for inspection and quality control applications. For near shadow-free illumination, pair with a second gooseneck placed in an opposing position. Compatible with Schott ACE, MC-LS, and CV-LS illuminators; not compatible with the KL series.
