Schott A08051.40 Single Flexible Light Guide

The Schott A08051.40 is a large-diameter single flexible fiber optic light guide from Schott's professional ColdVision illumination accessory line. With a 13mm active input fiber diameter — significantly larger than the 8mm A08031.40 — the A08051.40 collects substantially more light from the source, making it the right choice for applications requiring maximum light delivery at the specimen, such as high-magnification imaging, large-area illumination, or long light guide runs where light loss is a concern. The flexible bundle construction with PVC-covered metal tubing sheathing allows the guide to be routed and positioned freely with a tight bending radius, without kinking or light loss. At 40 inches (1016mm), the bundle length provides ample reach for most stereo microscope, inspection, and industrial illumination setups. The standard input accepts Schott dichroic color filters and diffusers in addition to ColdVision series light sources, and the standard output ferrule accepts spot lenses and polarizing caps for specialized illumination configurations.
