The Olympus U-MDF3 Reflected Light Darkfield Mirror Cube is a half-mirror cube designed for installation into the rotatable cube turrets of Olympus BX and IX series microscopes. In darkfield reflected light mode, the half-mirror directs oblique illumination onto the specimen surface, causing only light scattered by surface features to enter the objective — producing bright, high-contrast images of surface defects, scratches, particles, and fine structural details against a dark background. Compatible with Olympus IX81, IX71, IX51 inverted and BX61, BX51, BX41 upright microscope platforms. New condition.
