Olympus U-LDPW10H DIC Prism

The Olympus U-LDPW10H is a Nomarski DIC prism designed specifically for use with 10× long working distance (LWD) objectives on Olympus BX series microscopes. In transmitted light DIC, the Nomarski prism splits the illuminating beam into two slightly laterally displaced beams that pass through the specimen and recombine to produce interference contrast revealing optical path gradients. Each DIC prism is matched to a specific objective type and magnification to ensure optimal beam shear and DIC contrast. The U-LDPW10H is calibrated for 10× LWD objectives, used for wide-field DIC survey imaging of specimens in culture dishes, multi-well plates, and other containers requiring extended working distance.
