The Olympus U-CTBI is an ergonomic tilting binocular observation head for Olympus CX series upright microscopes. Standard binocular heads present the eyepieces at a fixed angle that requires the user to lean forward and look downward — a posture that places sustained strain on the neck, shoulders, and upper back during long observation sessions. The U-CTBI addresses this with a tilting eyepiece mechanism that allows the user to adjust the viewing angle to find the most comfortable position for their individual height, posture, and working setup, significantly reducing musculoskeletal fatigue and improving productivity in high-use laboratory and clinical environments. The head features 23mm eyetubes, accepting the standard Olympus CX series eyepiece range. Built to Olympus factory specifications, the U-CTBI ensures correct optical alignment and full compatibility with CX series accessories and eyepieces. This unit is in new condition.
