The Olympus U-25Y48 yellow filter slider is a longpass filter with a 480nm cutoff wavelength, engineered for photoresist observation applications in semiconductor fabrication, MEMS, and lithography process control. Photoresist materials are sensitive to UV and short-wavelength visible light — exposure during inspection can prematurely activate or degrade the resist. The U-25Y48 blocks these damaging wavelengths while transmitting the longer visible wavelengths needed for visual inspection and imaging, allowing operators to safely examine photoresist-coated wafers and substrates under the microscope without compromising the resist.
