The Olympus SZ-CTV is an adjustable C-mount camera adapter for the Olympus SZ40, SZ60, and SZ1145 stereo zoom microscopes, connecting a C-mount camera to the trinocular port of the SZ series microscope. C-mount adapters are microscope-specific — the SZ-CTV is designed specifically for the SZ series optical system to ensure the camera image is in focus at the same time as the eyepiece image, without requiring refocusing of the microscope when switching between eyepiece observation and camera imaging. The adjustable design of the SZ-CTV allows fine focus adjustment of the camera port independently, enabling precise parfocality between the eyepieces and the camera — so that when the specimen is in focus through the eyepieces, it is simultaneously in focus on the camera sensor. This is essential for smooth documentation workflows where the operator observes through the eyepieces and captures images or video simultaneously without interruption.
