Olympus CX41 Polarized Light and Phase Microscope

The Olympus CX41 is a highly capable upright biological microscope, and this configuration transforms it into a true multi-mode contrast instrument. The 5-position turret condenser provides instant access to PH1, PH2, and PH3 phase contrast, darkfield, and brightfield modes — enabling rapid switching between contrast methods without changing hardware. Phase contrast objectives at 10x (PH1), 20x (PH1), and 40x (PH2) deliver high-contrast imaging of unstained living cells and transparent specimens across the full magnification range. The U-POT polarizer and U-ANT analyzer add a complete polarized light microscopy capability, making this system equally suited for mineralogy, materials science, and birefringent specimen analysis. The darkfield stop in the turret condenser enables high-contrast imaging of fine surface details and small particles against a dark background. The trinocular head supports simultaneous observation and digital documentation.
