The Olympus CKX31 is a low-cost inverted microscope designed to deliver reliable phase contrast performance in a compact, easy-to-use platform. Its inverted configuration provides open access to culture dishes, flasks, and multi-well plates without disturbing living specimens. Three objectives cover the core tissue culture workflow: the 4x brightfield for wide-field specimen survey, and 10x and 20x long working distance phase contrast objectives for high-contrast imaging of unstained cells through standard culture vessel walls. The fixed binocular observation tube delivers high optical performance with a stable, ergonomic viewing position suited for routine daily use.
