Product Overview

The Olympus BX50 is a highly capable upright research microscope from Olympus's acclaimed BX series, and this fluorescence configuration delivers a complete, immediately deployable system for multicolor fluorescence and brightfield research. Five UPlanFL fluorite objectives — 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 100x oil immersion — provide flat-field, high-transmission imaging optimized for fluorescence across the full magnification range, from wide-field tissue survey to single-cell oil immersion detail. The BX-URA fluorescence illuminator features a rotatable front 4-cube turret, enabling rapid filter cube switching without disturbing the specimen. Two filter cubes — Blue (FITC) and Green (TRITC) — are included for immediate dual-channel fluorescence imaging. The 100W mercury lamphouse and dedicated power supply deliver the excitation intensity required for demanding fluorescence applications. The 100W quartz halogen lamphouse provides stable transmitted brightfield illumination. The 3-position trinocular head with 1x C-mount offers full flexibility between observation-only, camera-only, and split modes. The right-hand mechanical XY stage with slider holder and 6-place nosepiece support efficient specimen navigation and rapid objective switching. In excellent condition, this system ships complete with power cord, dust cover, and instruction manual.
