Product Overview

The Olympus BX41-P is a research-grade polarizing microscope built on the acclaimed BX41 platform with UIS2 infinity-corrected optics, delivering the full analytical capability of a flagship polarizing system at a more accessible price point than the BX51-P. This fully loaded configuration includes every major accessory required for advanced polarized light research. Four strain-free POL objectives — 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x — deliver flat-field, artifact-free imaging across the full magnification range. The U-CPA conoscopic observation attachment with Bertrand field stop enables direct observation of interference figures for optical axis determination and crystal system identification. The U-SRP rotating ball-bearing stage with 3-point centering enables precise extinction angle measurement and crystal orientation analysis. The U-POC strain-free condenser with 360° rotatable polarizer and swing-out top lens, U-AN360P 360° dial-rotatable lockable analyzer, and U-TAD compensator adapter with U-TP530 first-order red gypsum plate complete the full analytical optical train. The U-P4RE quadruple centerable nosepiece and U-FMP attachable mechanical stage with XY controls add precision specimen navigation. WHN 10x widefield eyepieces with crosshair reticle and scale in the right eyepiece support precise measurement and alignment. The U-TR30-2 trinocular head with selectable light path ratios supports simultaneous observation and camera documentation. In excellent, as-new working condition, this system is ready for immediate deployment.
