It replaces all existing electronics — including failed circuit boards, rheostats, and lamp sockets — with a precision-machined anodized aluminum LED module. Delivering 410 lm at just 3.5W, it provides brighter, more energy-efficient illumination than the original 6V/20W halogen system. The LED is rated for 88,500 hours at 80% brightness, dramatically reducing maintenance costs. Brightness is controlled remotely via an existing microscope control (standard), with an optional onboard potentiometer available.
