Compatibility guidance is free — before or after you buy.
Matching optics across brands and generations is the hardest part of buying microscope components, and it's the thing we do all day. If you're not sure whether an objective, camera, or accessory fits your setup, ask us before you order. It's faster than a return for everyone.
What to send us
The more of this you include, the faster the answer — usually one email each way:
- Your microscope stand — brand and model (e.g., Olympus BX53, Nikon Eclipse Ti2, Zeiss Axio Observer, Leica DM2500)
- The item you're considering — our SKU or the OEM part number from the listing
- Your application — brightfield, fluorescence, DIC, phase, electrophysiology, semiconductor inspection, etc.
- For objectives: a photo of the barrel engraving on an objective you already use helps enormously — it tells us your tube length, thread, and coverslip standard in one shot
- For cameras: your camera port type (C-mount, brand-specific trinocular) and the software you image with
What we'll tell you
Whether it fits, and specifically why or why not — tube lens requirements, thread standard (RMS / M25 / M26 / M27 / M32), parfocal distance, coverslip correction, and whether an adapter exists when it doesn't fit directly. If what you're looking at is wrong for your setup, we'll say so and point you at what's right, even if it's something we don't currently stock.
