The extended working distance of 6.62–8.18mm — adjustable via the correction collar — allows imaging through the thick plastic or glass bottoms of standard culture flasks, multi-well plates, and Petri dishes without compromising phase contrast image quality. The correction collar compensates for variations in vessel bottom thickness, ensuring optimal phase ring alignment and maximum contrast across different culture vessel types. At 0.50 NA and 40X, it provides the resolution and depth of field ideal for routine live cell observation, cell morphology assessment, and culture monitoring.
