The U-DICT features a rotatable Wollaston prism that allows DIC contrast to be fine-tuned by rotating the prism within the slider, providing precise control over the bias retardation and the resulting image contrast. The slider offers two mounting options: it can be installed in the nosepiece slot for direct integration with the objective turret, or in the U-KPA slot for alternative positioning within the optical path.
